Barcelona plans summer overhaul and wants to sell 8 players

Despite FC Barcelona claiming the title in La Liga with fair ease, the Catalan giants are planning a big summer overhaul of their first team squad. According to Diario Sport, Barcelona wants to sell eight players to bolster their transfer budgets.

Lucas Digne, André Gomes, Paco Alcacer, Denis Suarez and Aleix Vidal failed to impress at the club this season and have been told they could leave the Nou Camp. Munir, Rafinha and Gerard Deulofeu, who have been on loan at Alaves, Internazionale and Watford are also among the players who can leave.

By selling these players, Barcelona hopes to receive a total amount around the 150 to 200 million. The fees that are received will be re-invested in the transfer of Antoine Griezmann and younger players. Ajax’ Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong have already been linked with a move to the Blaugrana.
