Gianluigi Buffon has announced he will be leaving Juventus after this season. The legendary Italian goalkeeper hosted a special press conference on Thursday where he confirmed he be playing his final game this weekend.
It was expected that Buffon would announce to leave Juventus, but it was also expected he would announce his retirement from football. However, the 40-year-old only told he would be leaving the Bianconeri, which has lead to speculation about his future.
Buffon told the press he is still overthinking his career in football and will not be making a final decision any time soon. Juventus president Andrea Agnelli confirmed that the club has offered Buffon a non-playing role.
🎙 @gianluigibuffon: "Saturday will be my final match for Juventus and to end this journey with two cups and with the president and the entire Bianconeri world by my side, will be very special."
