FC Barcelona is still working to bring Antoine Griezmann to the Nou Camp next season. The Blaugranas have been talking with Atletico Madrid and representatives of the Frenchman for several week, but reports say an agreement is still far away. Should the transfer fail, Barcelona have marked Christian Eriksen as a possible ‘plan B’.
With an agreement still far away, Barcelona are fearing more and more the proposed transfer of Griezmann will fail. Atletico is playing hard-ball over his fee, while it is claimed that Griezmann himself is slowly shifting towards a longer stay at the Wanda Metropolitano and he will not be making a decision until after the World Cup.
Barcelona is not planning to wait that long for the French forward and according to Sport the club is considering a move for the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder. But, a move for the Danish playmaker could be an expensive piece of business, with Tottenham unlikely to agree a deal that is under €175 million.
