Arsenal have confirmed they have completed their second signing for next season. The Gunners have announced that Bernd Leno has signed a multi-year deal at the Emirates in a deal worth around 22 million from Bayer Leverkusen.
The 26-year-old has spent 7 seasons at the German club and has played over a 100 games in the Bundesliga. Leno is expected to battle with either Petr Cech or David Ospina at Arsenal, as it is believed that one of the veteran stoppers will be sold this summer.
“We are very pleased that Bernd Leno will be joining us,” said Arsenal head coach Unai Emery on Arsenal’s website. “Bernd is a goalkeeper of high quality and experience. He has been a top performer and regular number one goalkeeper with Leverkusen in the Bundesliga for the past seven years.”
