The reported move of Napoli midfielder Jorginho to Manchester City appears to be coming closer as the Italian midfielder has been left out of Napoli’s squad for their pre-season training camp. It is believed City is close to reach an agreement with the Serie A runners-up.
In June outspoken Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis claimed that his club rejected offers from City for the midfielder, stating he would not accept bids under 50 million. It is believed the English league champions did return with an improved offer, that apparently impressed De Laurentiis enough.
Meanwhile Jorginho’s agent claimed he was already in England awaiting an agreement between the two clubs. And a transfer appears to be close now, with Napoli confirming the midfielder will not join the club’s training camp in Dimaro Folgarida.
