Watford have confirmed the signing of defender Adam Masina from Bologna. The 24-year-old left-back had completed a medical last month and already agreed personal terms with the Hornets. Watford did announce the transfer on Monday, after Masina signed a five-year deal.
The Moroccan born Italian, played 131 games for Italian side Bologna, including 99 games in the Serie A. The left defender is Watford’s second defensive signing of the summer after the club confirmed that Espanyol defender Marco Navarro had joined the club on a five-year deal.
Watford now hopes to agree a third defensive transfer before the end of the week, with Sky Sports claiming that they have agreed terms with West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Forster. The 35-year-old has one year left on his contract at the Hawthorns, with West Brom reportedly demanding 3.5 million for the 8-time England international.
