Southampton have allowed Guido Carrillo to join LaLiga club Leganes on a season-long loan deal. The 27-year-old forward has only spent 6 months at the Premier League club, joining from AS Monaco in January for 22 million.
Carrillo made only 7 appearances for the Saints last season, failing to score a single goal. The forward has opted to be reunited with former boss Mauricio Pellegrino, who was sacked by Southampton back in March and was appointed as the new Leganes boss.
“Southampton Football Club can confirm that Guido Carrillo has joined CD Leganes on a year-long loan,” a club statement said. “Everyone at the club would like to wish Guido good luck for the season ahead.”
