Despite the rumours that Chelsea have sacked Antonio Conte, the club has yet to file an official statement. According to Sky Italia the Italian had been officially sacked on Thursday, but an official statement has yet to be released.
Conte’s future at Chelsea has been in doubt for months and emerged after the former Juventus boss told media he was unhappy with the club’s actions on the summer transfer market. Despite his unhappiness, Conte remained in charge at the Blues and steered the club to an FA Cup win.
Meanwhile, Conte failed to live up to the expectations in the Premier League, after winning the title in his debut season with a record total of 30 wins. Chelsea finished in fifth position and has failed to secure a ticket for the Champions League.
