Fulham beats Chelsea and Arsenal to sign Seri from Nice

Newly promoted Fulham have pulled off an enormous coup by signing OGC Nice midfielder Jean-Michaël Seri. The Ivorian midfielder has been linked with the European elite in the past, with FC Barcelona one of his admirers. However, Fulham pulled off a big stunt to complete a club-record transfer.

Seri was spotted in London earlier this week and it was believed he was in talks with both Arsenal and Chelsea. Later during the week rumous emerged that Seri was on his way to Fulham. While fans thought the rumours to be false, Fulham managed to pull of an incredible coup.

“It was a long day yesterday so it was great to get the move finalised,” said the 26-year-old on Fulham’s website. “Now, I’m ready to get started and looking forward to meeting the squad and getting to know them, the Head Coach and his staff better. I’m delighted to be here, it’s a new adventure that starts for me and I’m hoping it will all go well.”
