Premier League newcomers Fulham have passed the €80m mark on transfers this summer following the signing of Alfie Mawson in a €17m move from Swansea City. The 24-year-old defender relegated with the Swans last season, but has now extended his stay in the Premier League for at least another season.
“I’m really happy to get this over the line and join Fulham,” the 24-year-old centre-back said. “I’m excited by the project going on here and the football being played last season was lovely on the eye but also effective and I can’t wait to be a part of it and get going.”
“I’m excited to be a part of this great Club moving forward and to help achieve success in the Premier League.” With the transfer of Mawson, Fulham have spent over €80m on the summer transfer market. The club has already signed Jean-Michael Seri (OGC Nice), Aleksandr Mitrovic (Newcastle United), Fabri (Besiktas) and Maxime le Marchand (OGC Nice).
