Fulham set sights on Real Madrid defender after already spending 80m

Newly-promoted Premier League club Fulham have targeted Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez. The 20-year-old defender is looking to be a surplus at the Spanish giants this season and Madrid are happy to send the young full-back out on loan. Hernandez seemed to be on his way to Sociedad, but could now end up in the Premier League.

Real Sociedad had already agreed terms with Real Madrid to loan the defender for the next 12 months. They also agreed to pay 50 per cent of the defender’s salary while he was on loan. Fulham have now entered the race and it is claimed that the English club is prepared to pay his full salary.

Real Madrid have now stalled on the deal with Sociedad as they are keen to find out if Hernandez is prepared to move to the Premier Leageu. Spanish outlet Marca has claimed that Madrid have received up to seven offers for the talented defender, who joined Madrid last summer in a €26m deal from city rivals Atletico Madrid.
