Jerome Boateng will not be completing a move to Manchester United this summer. Reports from Germany have claimed that both Bayern Munich and the defender have rejected the approach from the Red Devils. Bayern want €50m for Boateng with United only offering half to sign the centre-back.
According to Bild, Boateng has personally contacted Jose Mourinho to confirm he won’t be completing a move to Old Trafford this summer. The 29-year-old is believed to be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain. Boateng’s agents have been in talks with the French giants for several weeks and a deal seems to be coming closer.
As for United, the club received another blow in the search for a new defender. The club already has offers rejected by Leicester City for Harry Maguire, while a proposed move for Toby Alderweireld is still far away with Tottenham Hotspur holding on to their €70m asking price, while United do not want to go any higher than €50m.
