Internazionale are growing confident to sign Luka Modric from Real Madrid this summer. The 32-year-old Croatian will return to Madrid next Monday after he and Croatia made it to the final at the World Cup. According to El Mundo, Modric will make a transfer request upon his return.
Modric will then complete a move to Inter as the Italians are ready to lodge a €35m bid on Modric, offering the midfielder a four-year contract. The deal will also include a pre-planned move to Chinese outfit Jiangsu Suning after his contract with Inter expires. The Chinese club owners hold a majority share in Inter and a big money move just before the end of his career could be interesting for Modric.
While Real Madrid president Florentino Perez told reporters that his club has no intention to sell Modric, it is understood that the club will not stand in his way if he really wants to leave. Inter want to sign Modric on a season-long loan worth €15m, before a permanent deal worth €20m will be completed next summer.
