After missing out on Santiago Arias, who moved to Atletico Madrid, Napoli have confirmed the signing of French full-back Kevin Malcuit from Lille. the 27-year-old defender, who has signed a three-year deal with the club, has been signed for an undisclosed fee.
Malcuit is a former right winger, that also played for AS Monaco and Saint-Etienne. He then joined Lille in the summer of 2017 and made 25 appearances for the struggling club. Lille finished in 17th place last season, only to narrowly escape relegation.
With the signing of Malcuit, Carlo Ancelotti finally has signed his desired defender. The French defender will be providing competition for Albanian full-back Elseid Hysaj at Napoli. However, Ancelotti will also be able to play Malcuit as a winger if needs.
