Crystal Palace are on the verge of completing the loan signing of forward Jordan Ayew from Swansea City. According to Sky Sports, the Ghanaian is currently on his way to London ahead of a medical. The loan move is expected to be finalised later on Thursday in time for the end of the English summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old showed a good form for the Swans last season, scoring 11 goals in the Premier League. Despite his performances, Ayew was unable to prevent Swansea from relegating to the Championship. After the club dropped from the Premier League, Ayew expressed the desire to leave the club and refused to train for the Welsh club.
Ayew could become Crystal Palace fourth summer signing, with goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, plus midfielders Cheikhou Kouyate and Max Meyer already on the team roster. With the proposed move from Jordan, both Ayew brothers would have departed Swansea, with brother Andre already completing a loan-move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
