Leicester City have agreed a fee with SC Freiburg to sign Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu. According to Sky Sports the Foxes have reached an agreement with the German club and everything is now in place for the defender to complete his move to the Premier League.
The 23-year-old had been linked with a big money move to Arsenal earlier this summer, but the Gunners never made an approach for the centre-back. It is believed that Leicester City and Freiburg have agreed on a €24M transfer fee for the centre-back, who is currently injured.
With the transfer of Soyuncu rumours of a possible exit for England international Harry Maguire have intensified. The former Hull City centre-back wants to move to Manchester United, but Leicester seemed reluctant to sell. With Soyuncu on his way to the club and Dinamo Zagreb’s Filip Benković als on the verge of completing a transfer to the King Power Stadium, Maguire could complete his move to United on Thursday.
