West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Mason Holgate from Everton on loan until the end of the season. The 22-year-old completed a medical on Sunday and was officially introduced as a Baggie on Monday.
Holgate started the season as a first team regular under new boss Marco Silva, but has found his playing time limited following the arrivals of Yerry Mina and Kurt Zouma. Holgate made a total of 6 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees. Holgate could play his first game for West Brom in the home FA Cup third-round tie against Wigan Athletic.
The young defender is happy to have joined a promotion contender in the Championship. “I’m joining a good team and I know everyone’s aim here is promotion. They have been playing good football in a tough league and I can’t wait to get involved”, he told the clubs official website.
