Tottenham Hotspur are considering a January bid for Borussia Mönchengladbach attacking midfielder Thorgan Hazard. The Belgium international, brother of Chelsea star Eden Hazard, has been in good form this season, having a part in 15 goals in 17 games in the Bundesliga.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is eager to sign a creative attacking midfielder in the January window to keep Spurs’s title dreams alive, while in-form forward Heung-min Son will be absent to play in the Asia Cup with South Korea. Tottenham is currently in second place in the Premier League, six points behind league leaders Liverpool.
Reports claim that Tottenham will be trying to sell Fernando Llorente, Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou in January and Pochettino has already been told he will be able to re-invest those funds in new signings. It is believed Hazard will be available for a fee around €40M.
