Dutch giants Ajax have received a massive €30M offer for Brazilian winger David Neres from China. According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Guangzhou Evergrande have made Neres their primary target and want to sign the winger in January.
It is believed that Ajax were not expecting any bids on Neres, who is valued at €40M by Ajax. The report claims that sporting director Marc Overmars has decided not to travel with the team to Florida for their winter training camp to negotiate terms with the Chinese.
The 21-year-old Brazilian could sign a multi-year contract at the Chinese club, receiving a massive wage hike compared to his current deal at Ajax. Should Neres decide to move to Guangzhou, he would be joining several Brazilians, including former Barcelona midfielder Paulinho.
