Victor Wanyama will not be leaving Tottenham Hotspur for AS Roma in January, claims his agent. However, the Kenyan midfielder could make a move to the Italians in the future if his position at Spurs will not improve.
“There is no possibility of Victor leaving Tottenham in January, but we’ll see after that,” agent Ivan Modia Yanez told the Italian press, according to Football Italia. “I have not had contact with Monchi regarding this issue.”
Wanyama signed from Southampton in 2016, making 47 appearances in his first season. Multiple injuries to his knee have kept him from more games since then, only making 31 appearances across all competitions over the past two season.
