Celtic confirm signing of Ivorian striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo

Celtic have announced the signing of Vakoun Issouf Bayo. The Ivorian striker has joined the Bhoys on a four-year deal from Slovakian side, Dunajská Streda. It is believed that Celtic have paid around €3m for the 21-year-old Bayo.

The Ivory Coast forward joined the Slokian club in March last year, having previously spent two years playing in Tunisia. Since moving to Eastern Europe, Bayo has shown a lethal form in front of goal, scoring 18 goals in 23 games this season.

Celtic have now made two signings in as many days following the arrival of Timothy Weah from Paris Saint-Germain on Monday. The USA international has joined the Scottish giants on a six-month loan deal.
