Paris Saint-Germain forward Timothy Weah has joined Scottish giants Celtic on a six-month loan. The USA international will join up with Brendan Rodgers’ side on their Dubai training camp and can’t wait to start playing games.
“It’s a fantastic honour to sign for such a historic club, and I’m really looking forward to this opportunity”, Weah told Celtic’s official website. “I’m also delighted to be working with such a great coach and great team-mates, and I’m looking forward so much to be playing in front of some of the best and most passionate fans on the planet. I’m so happy and so excited.”
Weah, son of former AC Milan legend George Weah, was born in New York and played in the Ney York Red Bulls youth academy before making a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 2014. Since joining the Parisiens, Weah has made 6 appearances for the first team across all competitions, scoring 2 goals.
