Tammy Abraham will stay at Aston Villa for the second half of the season, reports the Guardian. The striker is currently on loan from Chelsea and last week rumours appeared that Wolverhampton Wanderers wanted to sign the young forward on a permanent deal in January.
Abraham has scored 16 goals Aston Villa this season, being the club’s leading goalscorer and the joint topscorer in the EFL Championship. It is believed that the young English forward is more interested in helping Aston Villa earn promotion back to the Premier League.
To earn promotion to the Premier League, Villa will need to up their performances during the second half of the season as the club is currently sitting in 10th place, 5 points off from a playoff spot. Abraham though has shown a lethel form in recent weeks, scoring 12 goals from his last 10 appearances. Villa will travel to relegation battlers Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
