Paris Saint-Germain appear to have accepted that Frenkie de Jong will join FC Barcelona next season instead of moving to Paris. However, reports from France have claimed that the Parisiens are still very interested in signing a midfielder from Ajax; Donny van de Beek.
Thomas Tuchel’s side is currently looking to strengthen their midfield as Adrien Rabiot has been banned from first team football due to his expiring contract. Lassana Diarra was a target for the club, but talks with the French midfielder have not progressed. PSG are keen on Napoli midfielder Allan, but the Italians want at least €100m.
According to L’Equipe, Van de Beek would be interested in signing for the French giants, but Ajax are reluctant to let the midfielder leave for anything under €60m. The 21-year-old Van de Beek is a five-time Netherlands international and has played a total of 112 games for Ajax, netting 21 goals.
