Bayern Munich are ready to step in for Adrien Rabiot. According to ESPN, the German giants are currently preparing an offer for the Paris Saint-Germain outcast and could sign him permanently in January. It is believed that Rabiot has already agreed terms with FC Barcelona to join them on a free transfer after the season.
However, Barcelona are reluctant to spend money on the midfielder in January and that could be in the advantage of Bayern. The 23-year-old has been banned from first team football in Paris and wants to leave the club as soon as possible. While Bayern is not prepared to meet Barcelona’s €10m-per-year offer, they are willing to make a bid this month.
ESPN claims that Bayern have contacted the forward, being the first club next to Barcelona to have been talking with Rabiot. The German giants have also used French internationals Corentin Tolisso and Kingsley Coman to possibly influence Rabiot’s choice. It is unclear if PSG are willing to sell Rabiot this winter and what asking price they would have.
