Spanish midfielder Juan Mata claims that he is calm about his Manchester United future. The former Chelsea player will be out of contract with summer, having been with the Red Devils since his transfer in January 2014. The 30-year-old admits a move back to Spain could be possible.
“I’ve been in England for a while, but it’s true that at times you miss home, your family, your friends,” he told AS. “But I don’t know if I’ll return to Spain in the near future. I’m calm, I’m at the fantastic club that is Manchester United, one of the biggest in the world.”
Mata says he is focused on the second half of the season as he hopes United can win a spot inside the top four. “We are focused on finishing the season as well as possible and reaching our goal of a place in the Champions League,” he added. “I am sure there will be difficult times between now and the end of the season but we will give our all.”
