Chelsea should look to send Callum Hudson-Odoi on loan rather than selling him to Bayern Munich, claims Gordon Strachan. Bayern have made four bids for the young English forward and it is believed that the 18-year-old has told Chelsea he wants to complete a move to Germany.
But Strachan believes that Chelsea should hang on to the forward, sending him on loan to gain experience. “This is not an easy decision. The priority has to be getting him games between 18-21. If he does that, with the talent he has got, then he will flourish from the age of 21.”
“Will he have more chance to play at Chelsea or Bayern Munich? You need to speak to the people who are involved and then he has to take a chance himself. The most important thing for these kids between 18-21 is playing regular football. I worry about Ruben Loftus-Cheek because he’s a real talent but he doesn’t play much. It’s not enough to learn the game.”
