Tottenham Hotspur are set to sell Mousa Dembele to Chinese Super League side Beijing Sinobo Guoan after a €12m bid was accepted. The move is expected to be confirmed this weekend. Spurs want to replace the Belgian midfielder and have listed two Bundesliga midfielders as potential replacements.
Primary target is Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch, claims Sky Sports. The 23-year-old Austrian international joined Hoffenheim from Werder Bremen in 2015 and still has a contract until the summer of 2021. It is believed that Grillitsch has a limited fee clause in his contract of around €20m.
Another target that could be on his way to Tottenham is Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria. The 22-year-old Swiss international has been playing for Gladbach since 2017 and has been showing some impressive performances in the Bundesliga. Gladbach, however, are looking for a large fee for the defensive midfielder that could be around €50m.
