Italian side Udinese have completed the signing of Marvin Zeegelaar on loan from Watford until the end of the season. The Dutch left full-back has joined up with Watford team-mate Stefano Okaka in Italy after the striker was also signed on loan by Udinese earlier this week.
Watford and Udinese have close links as both clubs are owned by the Pozzo family. The Italians currently sit in 15th place in the Serie A and could use some help to avoid relegation to the Serie B.
Zeegelaar was a first team regular last season, making 12 Premier League starts during the season. This season he had not made a single appearance for the Hornets. On the same day as Zeegelaar’s departure, Watford confirmed that former Liverpool forward Jerome Sinclair has returned from his loan spell at Sunderland.
