Manchester United have reportedly contacted Philippe Coutinho’s agent on a possible return to the Premier League next season. The Brazilian is having a difficult season at FC Barcelona and could be allowed to leave the club if an offer would be submitted.
Barcelona splashed the cash on Coutinho in the 2018 January window and signed the attacking midfielder from Liverpool in a deal worth around €160m. While the midfielder enjoyed a successful first six months at the Nou Camp, he has been out of form this season, losing his spot in the first team.
El Mundo Deportivo claims that United are ready to jump in if the Brazilian wants to leave Barcelona. It seems unlikely that the Blaugranas would be ready to sell their most expensive signing after a single season, but could be open for a summer sale if the club wants to pursuit their dream of resigning Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
