Real Madrid will try to meet with FC Porto and the agent of defender Éder Militão ahead of a summer transfer. The 20-year-old joined Porto last summer in a €4m switch from Sao Paulo, but he has been making quite the impression for the Portuguese giants.
It is believed that Militão has a limited transfer fee in his contract around €50m and Madrid are keen on securing his signing before Porto gets the chance to have signing a new deal with an expected higher release clause. Manchester United were also interested in the defender, with Jose Mourinho a keen admirer.
With Mourinho reportedly on his way back to Real Madrid next season, the Portuguese manager will be handed one of his long wanted transfer targets. Militão developed through the academy at Sao Paulo and joined Porto last season. The defender has made a total of 22 appearances in his first season and earned his first cap for Brazil in September 2018.
