Real Madrid have already had a meeting with Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek and his representatives. While it is not believed the Spanish giants will make a January move for the Polish forward, the club could prepare a summer bid, claims Diario AS.
Piatek has been one of the outstanding performers in the Italian Serie A this season, scoring a remarkable 19 times in 21 appearances for the Italian club this season. The 23-year-old has been compared with his fellow Poland international Robert Lewandowski and Madrid are keen to sign Piatek early on.
Genoa paid only €4.5m for Piatek last summer, but have been holding on to an asking price of at least €60m. Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have also shown interest, while AC Milan has marked Piatek as their number one target should Gonzalo Higuain complete a move to Chelsea in January.
