Ryan Babel has completed his return to the Premier League. Relegation battlers Fulham have announced on their official website that the Dutch international has joined the club on a permanent transfer from Turkish side Besiktas. Neither club has communicated the height of the transfer fee.
“I am confident Fulham will not be relegated from the Premier League”, Babel was quoted on Fulham’s website. “That is one of the main reasons I am here: to avoid relegation. I am fit and ready to help Fulham. I can’t wait to play my first game for this club”, said Babel, who played a total of 2 years for Besiktas.
Babel was expected to leave Besiktas this January. The former Liverpool and Ajax forward was one of the highest paid players at the financial troubled club. Earlier Besiktas saw Portugal international Pepe terminate his contract to sign a contract at his former club FC Porto.
