West Ham United are considering a move for AS Roma forward Edin Dzeko, reports the Daily Star. The 32-year-old has not been in good form this season for the Romans and it is suggested that the Italians are looking to sell the forward to raise their funds.
Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini worked with Dzeko during a period at Manchester City in which they won the Premier League. The Chilean has been made aware of the availability of the forward and has instructed his club to line up a move in January.
Dzeko could be considered as a ‘cheap’ replacement for Marko Arnautovic, who is still looking to move to China. The Austrian forward has been offered a contract worth around €250.000 per week and has insisted West Ham to accept the €40m offer from China.
