Internazionale are on the verge of completing a future transfer for Cagliari star Nicolo Barella. Calciomercato claims the the Italian giants have agreed terms on a €40m for the midfielder. The 21-year-old will finish the season at Cagliari, before making the permanent move to Milan.
Chelsea have also been in the market for the midfielder, but the Blues have not made an official approach yet. Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is looking for a replacement for Cesc Fabregas, who moved to Monaco last week. Barella was considered a top target, but now looks to make a move inside the Serie A.
The rumours from Italy are blow for Chelsea after Paris Saint-Germain have interfered in the transfer of Argentinian midfielder Leandro Paredes. The Parisiens are close to reaching a deal with both the midfielder and his club Zenit St. Petersburg, meaning Chelsea will see two of their targets move to other clubs.
