AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini has dismissed rumours of him leaving the Italians in January. Reports from France claim that Pellegrini was on the shortlist at Paris Saint-Germain to replace Adrien Rabiot. On Thursday the midfielder rejected those claims.
“I do not think anything of it, I turn off the TV and I go to train in Trigoria”, he told Sky Italia. The midfielder wants to stay in Rome and hopes he can become the club’s captain one day. “Already representing your city is a great honor and a great responsibility.”
“It is normal that having the armband in your city is even more important than having it in another place. I always work to continue to grow with the team.” Roma are currently in sixth place in the Serie A, two points behind Lazio for the fourth and final Champions League qualifying place.
