Copa del Rey Quarter final draw: Barca meet Sevilla

FC Barcelona will be playing against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals. Meanwhile Real Madrid will be taking on Girona. The two other match-ups in the quarter finals are Valencia versus Getafe and Espanyol will meet Real Betis.

Barcelona will be visiting the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on either January 22, 23 or 24 before hosting the return leg a week later. The Blaugranas are the current holders of the Copa del Rey, having won the tournament on the last four occasions.

Their winning streak was cast into jeopardy when they previous opponent Levante filed an official complaint claiming that Barcelona had fielded an ineligible player (defender Chumi) in the first leg of the round of 16 clash. On Friday the Royal Spanish Football Federation dismissed Levante’s complaint on the grounds it was lodged too late.

Copa del Rey quarter-finals draw in full:

Real Madrid v Girona
Getafe v Valencia
Sevilla v Barcelona
Espanyol v Real Betis
