Paris Saint-Germain have received positive news on Neymar’s foot injury. The first diagnosis has shown that the Brazilian forward will not have to undergo surgery and could be available for PSG’s Champions League clash with Manchester United, reports Globoesporte.
Neymar was forced off the pitch in last night’s Coupe de France victory over Strasbourg (2-0) after receiving a knock. After the game the club confirmed the forward had injured the same bone in his right foot as last year, which kept him out for three months.
It is now claimed that the injury is not that serious and that Neymar does not require surgery. It is now expected that the forward will be rested for approximately 10 days, before he will undergo further testing and then for the PSG medical staff to decide on the best recovery routine.
