Son set to return to Tottenham Hotspur after Asian Cup exit

Heung-Min Son will return to Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of next week after South Korea was knocked out of the Asian Cup by Qatar on Friday. Son returning to London will be a massive boost for Tottenham after the club lost Harry Kane and Dele Alli to injuries last week.

Kane and Alli are both expected to be ruled out until March with ankle and hamstring injuries respectively. The 26-year-old striker was in superb form for Tottenham before he left for the Asian Cup and him returning would be welcome news for Mauricio Pochettino with Tottenham playing in the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League.

Sky Sports report that it is unlikely to play for Tottenham in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Crystal Palace on Sunday, but he could be returning to the squad for the Premier League clash against Watford on Wednesday.
