Arsenal approach Internazionale to sign Ivan Perisic on loan

Arsenal have made an approach to sign Internazionale and Croatia winger Ivan Perisic on loan. According to BBC’s David Ornstein, the Gunners have contacted the Italian giants to talk about the availability of Perisic in the January window.

Unai Emery’s side are eager to sign a new midfielder in January after the proposed transfer of Denis Suarez from FC Barcelona collapsed. The club has also shown interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Christopher Nkunku in recent weeks, but have not made an official approach for the French midfielder.

But it now appears as if Arsenal are ready to sign a more attacking player with Perisic. The report claims that Arsenal have contacted Inter about taking the forward on an initial six month loan deal with an obligated option to sign him on a permanent deal for €40m. It is unclear if Inter are prepared to sell one of their key players in the middle of the season.
