Borussia Dortmund crushed Hannover 96 5-1 on Saturday. The Bundesliga leaders moved nine points clear of Bayern Munich, who will play VfB Stuttgart on Sunday. Lucien Favre’s side now has 48 points after 19 league games, which is a new point record for the club.
In Dortmund’s 5-1 trashing of Hannover Marco Reus scored and got an assist, as did Achraf Hakimi and Raphael Guerreiro. England winger Jadon Sancho was also in form for Dortmund on Saturday, collecting two assists for his team.
With the big win, Dortmund have continued the second half of the German league in the same remarkable form they displayed during the first part of the season. The German giants have only lost one game this season and dropped only four points since the start of the season.
