With Frenkie de Jong joining FC Barcelona next season, Adrien Rabiot could be off the Spanish giants’ wanted list for next season. That has alerted Tottenham Hotspur, who are looking to sign the French midfielder for a cut-price deal in January, claims The Sun.
Rabiot was bound to complete a move to Barcelona this summer, but after the club signed De Jong for €86m from Ajax, Rabiot’s future has become unsure. Tottenham hope to profit from the sudden uncertainty and have contacted Rabiot’s agent and mother to discuss contract terms.
Tottenham are keen on signing a new central midfielder after Mousa Dembele completed a move to China last week. The report claims that Tottenham are ready to offer €22m to Paris Saint-Germain this month to sign the midfielder. Rabiot’s contract in Paris will run out in six months.
