Javier Hernandez wants to move to Valencia this month and his club West Ham United are prepared to listen to offers, claims the Spanish club’s head coach Marcelino. Earlier on the day reports claimed that Valencia already made an €8m offer for Hernandez, which was rejected by the Hammers.
However, according to Marcelino, it will be a matter of time for the Mexican forward to join Valencia. “Chicharito is an option”, he said. “He is not getting much game-time and he is willing to join us, but the situation is complicated. The little information I have suggests to me that West Ham are only looking to sell the player.”
Hernandez has just started in seven Premier League games this season and has scored four goals in 15 games across all competitions. Valencia are keen on adding a striker to their squad after the club confirmed that loan striker Michy Batshuayi would return to Chelsea. The Belgian has not yet left Valencia though, but is expected to return to England before the end of the transfer window.
