Internazionale director Beppe Marotta has confirmed that Ivan Perisic wants to leave the club in January. The director was questioned by Sky Italia and then revealed that the Croatian has ‘expressed the desire for a transfer’.
“We have to live with a situation that many clubs have in this period, which is players who express their desire for a transfer”, Marotta said. “We listened to the player, he has this desire. We want to make him happy, but also have to consider what is best for us. So far, no suitable offers have arrived, so we will wait.”
Reports have claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing the 29-year-old Croatian. The Gunners have made a loan offer for Perisic with an option to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer. However, Inter are only prepared to sell Perisic and have told Arsenal he will is not available on loan.
