Cesc Fabregas feels Thierry Henry will become one of the best managers in the world, despite the former Arsenal legend being sacked only three months after he was appointed as AS Monaco boss. Henry was appointed in October by the French giants, granting him his first job as a manager.
Fabregas teamed up with his former Arsenal teammate at Monaco in January in a transfer from Chelsea, only to see Henry being sacked several weeks later. The Spaniard played just three games under Henry at Monaco before he was sacked and was replaced by former manager Leonardo Jardim.
“We are sad for ‘Titi’ because I really think he will be a top coach, I am sure of it,” Fabregas said on Monday. Football doesn’t wait and maybe it was not the right moment or he didn’t have the time to fulfil all his plans and everything he wanted to do. That is life, it happens.”
The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder is sad that Henry has left the club so soon. “I am not going to lie, one of the main reasons for me coming to Monaco is that Thierry called me,” added the 31-year-old. “He wanted me to play every game, every minute.”
