Santiago Solari has praised Karim Benzema after the French striker ended a three-match scoreless streak in Real Madrid 4-2 victory over Espanyol on Sunday. Benzema scored two goals and helped his team to a third consecutive win in LaLiga. Solari told after the game his squad completely trusts Benzema.
“He always makes complete performances, but he has also scored two beautiful goals,” Solari told a news conference after the game. “We totally trust in him and he is demonstrating all of his quality more than ever all this season.” The 31-year-old now has scored nine goals in LaLiga this season.
Benzema’s teammate Lucas Vazquez shared the thoughts of his coach. “I think Benzema has proved to us all that he’s the best number nine in the world,” Vazquez told reporters. “Working hard for the team, combining with his team-mates, he’s wonderful.”
