Arjen Robben could be continuing his career in the Japanese J League once his contract at Bayern Munich will expire at the end of this season. The former Dutch international has been linked with a move to FC Tokyo and Sports Nippon Daily claim that the chance of Robben moving to Japan is growing each day.
Meanwhile, Robben has still not decided what he wants to do after he leaves Bayern Munich. The left forward could return to Holland and join up his former club PSV or he could consider a money move to the Major League Soccer or – in this case – Japan.
Speaking to Kicker in January Robben told he could also retire if he does not receive any viable offers. “Perhaps I will stop playing,” he said. “It’s about waiting and seeing what possibilities there are. If offers come in, I’ll really consider them 100 percent and if it’s something nice, I’ll play on, but if no ideal offers come, then that could be it.”
