Neymar could be out for the rest of the season, report L’Equipe. The Brazilian has been undergoing medical examinations on his injured foot in recent days and the first prognosis has not been positive for the forward. Neymar suffered the injury last week in Paris Saint-Germain’s Coupe de France win over Strasbourg.
On Monday the forward underwent a MRI scan and this showed he has suffered a fracture on his fifth metatarsal on his right foot, similar to the injury that kept him out for three months last season and almost had Neymar miss the World Cup with Brazil.
It is now claimed that Neymar will definitely miss the two games against Manchester United in the Champions League, with a decision about his recovery process being made later this week. L’Equipe also claims that there is a 90% chance Neymar will need surgery and could be out for the rest of the season.
