Arsenal have reportedly restarted talks with Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco after interest in Ivan Perisic has cooled down, claim Sky Italia. The Gunners were linked to the Belgian winger in the first weeks of the January window, but eventually decided to make a move for Internazionale’s Perisic instead.
Arsenal wanted to sign Perisic on a six-month loan deal with an option to buy for a permanent deal in the summer. Inter have turned down the offers and will not be accepting any new loan bids from Arsenal. The Serie A club is only interested in selling Perisic in January and are demanding €45m for the Croatian.
With Arsenal and Inter reaching a stalemate, the Gunners have switched their interest back to Carrasco. The 25-year-old Belgium international completed a shock move to Chinese club Dalian Yifang from Atletico Madrid last February and has played 26 games for the Super League side.
