AS Monaco have confirmed the loan transfer of Carlos Vinicius. The Brazilian striker has joined the French club on loan from Napoli. The 23-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Rio Ave and will now move towards the Ligue 1 giants in their aim to avoid relegation.
Vinicius played 14 games for Rio Ave this season and scored eight goals in the Liga NOS. AS Monaco have confirmed the transfer on their official website and social media. The Brazilian will be available for Monaco’s next league game against Toulouse on Saturday.
Monaco have been having a very active January window, securing the signings of Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea, Naldo from Schalke 04 and Gelson Martins from Atletico Madrid. The club also sacked Thierry Henry last week and re-appointed Leonardo Jardim, who was sacked in October last year.
